Robert Abbott Dead.

Was Resident of Central Idaho for Twenty Years.

After a lingering illness Robert Abbott, aged 78, died at St. Joseph's hospital last evening at 7:30 o'clock, the immediate cause of death being Bright's disease, aided by complications incident to old age. The deceased for seven months preceding his death had been a patient at the hospital.

Mr. Abbott came to Lewiston to reside about ten years ago, occupying a home with his family on Snake River avenue. Prior to his coming here he was engaged in farming in the Russell section, his residence in north Idaho extending back twenty years. The last years of his life were spent in retirement. He was a man of high ideals and lived an exemplary life, and his passing will be mourned by a large circle of friends.

F. Russell of Moscow and Mrs. George E. Spencer of Los Molinas, Cal. With the exception of Mrs. Spencer all of the children were at the bedside when the end came.

The funeral services will take place at the Lewiston cemetery this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The funeral will start from the parlors of H. R. Merchant in Clarkston, thence to the place of commitment.
