Henry P. Crawford Of Tammany Dead

Well-Known Pioneer Victim of Recent Injury to Hip - Funeral at 1 p.m. Today.

Sweetwater, March 10 (Special to the Tribune)

Henry P. Crawford, aged 85, died at his home here Friday night at 11 o'clock from injuries to his hip, sustained when he fell while cutting wood about four weeks ago. Mr. Crawford came to Sweetwater to reside in 1913, having made his home for 35 years prior to that time on his pre-empted homestead in the Tammany section, an acreage later forming a part of the Daniels & Wallace ranch.

With the death of Henry P. Crawford, the west loses another of its pioneers. Born in Indiana, Mr. Crawford, at the age of 16, left home and traveled by ox-team to Oregon, residing there for about five years before locating at Tammany. During his lifetime he was among the best known men of this section of Idaho, and one enjoying the friendship of hundreds. He was a devout member of the Christina church.

Surviving are a wife and five children. Phil Crawford of this place, is a son of the deceased.

The burial of Mr. Crawford will take place this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Tammany burying ground, Rev. J. A. Ferris officiating.
