Miss Ruth Feals Dead.

Is Victim of a Second Attack of the Influenza.

While there were no new cases of influenza reported yesterday to City Health Officer Dr. Susan E. Bruce, there was one death, the victim being Miss Ruth Feals, a nurse at White's hospital. Miss Feals entered the hospital to take training for nursing about six months ago and made rapid progress in her profession. She was among the first nurses at the hospital to be stricken with influenza, but recovered rapidly and was able to resume her duties. She suffered a second attack about three weeks ago and pneumonia developed the latter part of last week.

Miss Feals was about 20 years of age and is survived by a sister, Miss May Feals, her grandfather and two uncles, all of Kendrick, who came to Lewiston to be at her bedside. The funeral will be conducted at 10 o'clock this morning at the Asotin cemetery, the remains to be laid to rest beside those of her mother, who passed away several years ago.

Miss Feals was a young lady of charming character, constant application and an unusually keen mind. She was beloved by all who knew her and enjoyed the highest regard of the patients with whom she came in contact during the period of her service at the hospital. Her death is another tragic sacrifice for the service of humanity.
