Charles Plunkett
Obituary

Lewiston Teller
Lewiston, Idaho, January 4, 1899

Charles Plunkett Dead.

This young man was called from life to death after a short sickness. He died this morning at 4 o'clock. He was brought to his room less than a week ago from his work a sick and heartless man. The end was in sight. He realized his fate from the first, and waited the work of his malady without hope. He had quick consumption.

Charles Plunkett was born in Switzerland county, Indiana, October 18, 1865. He has three sisters who survive him - two in his native state, and Mrs. Reamer, of Lewiston. He was married in this city in 1897 to Miss Kate Fryor. His wife is in Tacoma. She was notified by telegraph this morning of her husband's death.

Charles Plunkett had been a resident of Lewiston for three years. During that time he had surrounded himself with many warm friends. He was kind and considerate to a fault. He belonged to that royal class that is better to friends than to self. He forfeited a useful life to the neglect of his own welfare. His deeds will live after him. Many an humble heart will bleed with sorrow over the news of the death of this man who was his benefactor.

The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. to-morrow.
