Mrs. G. W. Richards Dead

Never Fully Recovered from Effects of Influenza.

At 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning the death of Mrs. George W. Richards occurred at the family home at 1500 Snake River avenue (the old Cox place), resulting from an attack of dropsy with which Mrs. Richards had been afflicted for three months past. The disease which caused her death was directly traced to an attack of influenza suffered some time ago.

Mrs. Richards was born at Green Bay, Wis., May 23, 1853, and was therefore little more than 69 years of age at the time of death. In 1894 with her family, she came to Lewiston to reside, this residence being permanent up to the time of her being taken away. A woman of high character, unselfish, and one about whom gathered many very dear friends and acquaintances, the deceased will be missed by all who knew her during life. One son survived, Guy Richards, connected with the grocery department of the J. Alexander company.

The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the Vassar chapel.
