Funeral of Lapwai Resident

W. E. Talbott, 78 Years of Age, Sticken With Paralysis.

The funeral of W. E. Talbott of Lapwai, who died Wednesday morning at 1 o'clock, was held yesterday shortly after noon at the Vassar parlors, the Rev. J. A. Ferris of Lewiston Orchards, conducting the ceremony.

Mr. Talbott had been feeling indisposed for three weeks, but his condition was not considered serious until 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon when he was stricken with paralysis. He was brought to St. Joseph's hospital, and cared for until the end.

Born May, 25, 1844, in the state of Indiana, Mr. Talbott had reached the age of 78 years. He came to the west in 1874, and spent much of his time since in the vicinity of Craigmont. He belonged to the G. A. R. and had been a member of the Methodist church since he was 18 years of age.

He is survived by one brother, at Sheridan Oregon, two sons and two daughters, Henry Talbott, Chehalis, Wash., Clarence Talbott, Mrs. Jennie Spindler and Mrs. Ella Carmichael.
