O. W. Travis Dead

Pioneer Lewiston Resident Victim of Complications.

Oscar Wilson Travis of Jefferson and F streets, a resident of Lewiston for the past 20 years, died early yesterday morning at St. Joseph's hospital after a two weeks' illness. He was 72 years of age and his death resulted from hardening of the arteries and complications. Mr. Travis was representative of the J. ?. Case company for 20 years, being retired from the company two years ago with a splendid record. He enjoyed a large and splendid personal and business acquaintance in Lewiston and central Idaho communities.

Mr. Travis was born in April, 1852, near Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and in 1877 married Elizabeth Greathouse at Coyville, Kan. The family came west in 1884, settling between Palouse and Potlatch in Latah county, Idaho, where he homesteaded. Here the family resided until 1904 when Mr. Travis came to the Lewiston country.

(Edge of this part of the article is missing) Mr. Travis is survived by three sons, John, of Roundup, Mont.; Elmer, of Potlatch and William, of Lewiston. A sister, Mrs. Mary __tlas?, of Czar, Alberta, also sur___. Mr. Travis was a member of ___ Woodmen of the World lodge.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Vassar chapel and interment will be in the Normal Hill cemetery. Hubert N. Dukes, pastor of the ___gregational church, will conduct the services.
