C. W. Williams Dead.

Former Land Attorney of Lewiston Passes Away.

George A. Williams yesterday received a message announcing the death of his brother, Charles W. Williams, at Prineville, Oregon, at four o'clock Friday afternoon, death being due to influenza, after an illness of four days. Mr. Williams, whose home is at Seattle, had gone to Prineville to visit a brother, when he was taken ill. The remains will be brought to Lewiston for interment, announcement of the funeral date to be made after the arrival of the body.

Mr. Williams, who was born in Illinois in 1856, located in Lewiston in 1896, and maintained his residence here until 1917 when he moved to Seattle. Upon establishing his home in Lewiston, he engaged in the practice of land attorney, first being associated with the late Judge Mullin, and he gained a wide acquaintance through out this section and cultivated many friends.

He leaves three children and four sisters and four brothers to mourn his death. The children are Clarence Williams, of Seattle; Lloyd Williams, of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Elsie Cox, of Palouse. His sisters are Mrs. Martha Duty, of Norris City, Illinois; Mrs. Ella Triplett, Mrs. Mary Black and Mrs. Lulu Carter, of Gifford, Idaho. The brothers are Rev. John T. Williams, of Prineville, Oregon; W. M. Williams, of Walla Walla; L. L. Williams, of Gifford, and George A. Williams, of Lewiston.
