Mrs. P. N. Williams Claimed By Death

Stricken Near Postoffice After Spending Day at Husband's Jewelry Stroe In Business District.

Mrs. P. N. Williams [Pleasant Norton Williams], 43, expired at White's hospital at 10:30 o'clock last night of uremic poisoning with which she was stricken at 6 p.m. while in front of the postoffice, causing her to collapse and fall to the sidewalk. A passerby assisted her to the family home at 321 Thirteenth street and summoned a physician when it was seen that her condition was critical, then being taken to the hospital. She lingered in an unconscious and semi-unconscious condition until death intervened.

At Store During Day.

Mrs. Williams had worked at her husband's jewelry store until a few minutes before 6 o'clock and was not heard to complain. Mr. Williams was serving on a jury in the federal court at Moscow when his wife was taken ill. He was notified and came to Lewiston in time to be at her side before she died.

Born at Portland.

Born in Portland, she came to Lewiston when married to Mr. Williams 14 years ago. She was among the city's best known women and popular with a large circle of friends. She was a member of Laurel chapter of the Eastern Star.

Besides the widower there survive two brothers and two sisters living in or near Portland.

The body is resting at the Vassar parlors. Funeral arrangements will not be made until relatives outside the city are heard from.
