Greer Stage Owner Dies

W. W. Wright Victim of Pneumonia After Recovery Seemed Sure.

Greer, Jan. 20. After having seemingly passed the crisis in a long siege of influenza and pneumonia, W. W. Wright, 45, had a relapse early this morning and passed away at 5:15 a.m. at his home here. Mr. Wright, a long-time resident of the Gifford region, has been proprietor of the Greer-Pierce motor stage line for the past two and one-half years.

Mr. Wright was stricken with influenza more than two weeks ago, it later developing into pneumonia. Last night his temperature, which had been high for several days, receded to normal, and it was believed that he would recover.

He is survived by a widow and four children by a former marriage. Mr. Wright came here from Gifford in the summer of 1926, purchasing the stage line from Ed Stenzel, now a resident of Lewiston.
